FOREIGN ENVIRONMENTAL STUDENTS PARTICIPATE IN SHRAMADANA IN GALLE FORT

A group of students from France and Germany, who are doing Environmental Studies for their higher education, participated in a shramadana in Galle Fort.

Their activity focused mainly in removing plastic and polythene strewn about in the area.  The larger objective of this activity is to prevent such waste material from entering the sea, as sea pollution caused by such harmful matter is increasingly becoming a serious global environmental problem.

The shramadana took place in the Galle Fort area from 8.30 to 11.30 in the morning of 2nd September 2022.

The tour of these youth in Sri Lanka is organized by Connected Dreams Lanka (Pvt.) Limited.

If you too are interested in keeping our cherished Galle Fort clean and tidy, we are pleased to give you that opportunity.
