World Tourism Day

World Tourism Day is celebrated on September 27 as International Dates. This day was followed by the enactment of the United National Party in 1970.

The aim of this day is to educate on the role of the tourism business in the Indian Ocean and to influence the social, cultural, political and economic values ​​of the world. In 2018, the theme was “Tourism and Digital Translation”. This was the theme of the World Heritage Galle Fort and the World Tourism Day. During that day various opportunities for different tourists were made available to experience the cultural elements.
